As the crown of God's creation, humans bear His likeness (image) and are responsible for responding positively to His norms (laws) for all of life.

The Social Science Department seeks to help students come to grips with their individually unique places in the task of developing and unfolding God's creation.  The department endeavors to help students study the chronological record of events, the social/political/economical unfolding of different people groups, and the general cultural development of underlying human ideals and values.

The curriculum serves as a framework to help students gain insight into the meaning of their own existence.

Students will be guided in the interpretation of the record of past human behavior in light of God's sovereign acts in the details of history through the various (obedient and disobedient) responses of individuals, groups and institutions.  Hopefully, students will realize how their own decisions and choices will affect the future for themselves and their society until God chooses to return to establish the new kingdom.
